  • Our Artists: Natalia Milovidova

NATALIA MILOVIDOVA comes from Eastern Ukraine, now lives in Kyiv (the capital). She has participated in the biggest contemporary art and music festival in Ukraine GOGOLFEST, where Tricky and De Phazz performed last year.

This is an original painting called POWER, acrylic on canvas, 100x100cm, which hypnotizes  you and gives you power.

You can see this painting in the original now at our extended exhibition at Slaughter House.

Recently, Milovidova has been developing her spiritual themes further, with an intriguingly beautiful set of mandalas…

  • Our Artists: Lesya Kara-Kotsya

LESYA KARA-KOTSYA is an established Ukrainian artist who has developed her own unique style. Some art critics call it fantasy, others call it ethnic, she herself calls it karakoko that comes from her name. This picture shows a Bull which Has Drunk All Water in the Yard. This is an old folk riddle. This riddle is so old and wise that nobody can guess the answer, and the answer is Frost – that’s when you can’t drink water: when it’s frozen. The original picture is 60x80cm, acrylic on canvas with wide use of gold leaf and genuine silver.

Another amazing piece is The Dove. This is a magic picture, everybody loves it. It’s full name is A Dove Spread Her Wings, Flew Up to the Sky and Turned Into a Star. Beautiful, isn’t it?

Original of this painting is now in London in Happenstance Gallery. It’s called Zim-Grandmums Live in Zimbabwe. Of course! What other grandmums could live in Zimbabwe? 60x80cm, acrylic on canvas, 2009

And this is White Wonder. It has covered the whole town. This is a very moving and sweet depiction of winter and white snow.
